Back in the early 60’s when Women’s Health Alliance, then Durham Women’s Clinic was on Greene St. in Durham, there was a large basement that was designed to have a large amount of classroom space. Women came from far and wide to learn about pregnancy, child-birth and hear from various guest speakers about psychological and physiological changes during pregnancy.
Today, we offer those same types of experiences in the form of CenteringPregnancy. This widely popular and ever-growing form of pre-natal care allows our obstetric patients to get personalized attention with the added benefit of a group setting where stories and concerns are shared for the benefit of the group at large.
